Store 2.0 Content Menu Configuration

Introduction

You can define up to three custom main menu selections for your Storefront.  Those three main menu options can then have an unlimited number of sub menu items.  For example, here are the Content menus defined in our demo:

The first level in the outline with the red dot represent the main menu options.  The second level options are shown with blue squares.

That Content menu configuration is then translated on the storefront as follows:

The red dot and blue squares are for this knowledgebase topic; you will not see them in Boomer Admin or on the Storefront.

Key Features of Content Menu Entries

The power of the Content Menu entries lies in these key features:

  1. Name them anything you want;
  2. Have up to three main menu entries;
  3. Have an unlimited number of content sub menu entries;
  4. If a main menu or sub menu entry is not defined in the event, the menu item simply won't show;
  5. Content menu entries can be viewed by an anonymous user, or only by logged in users, keeping content relevant to each audience;
  6. Allow content entries to be assigned to multiple menu entries; and
  7. Add a description at the top of the Content menu item to explain what the categories of entries are.

Configuring Content Menu Entries

You are defining content menu entries across events.  Changes you make here will apply to all events.

Telling Stone would have worked with you to define your Content Menu entries during the onboarding process to Store 2.0.  However, if you want to change the name of any menu option or add new ones, you can do so in Store Configuration\Look and Feel\Menu Labels:
