5.0.13 Release Notes (2-1-2025)

General

Microsoft has deployed a new version of the Report Viewer used in Boomer and it is included in this release.  The Report Viewer is the tool that runs any report from the Reports menu.  You may notice a difference in the look and feel of the light blue area at the top where the parameter prompts reside.  There is no difference in the way reports are run or the way the parameters behave.  There is, however, a Print button that is now available for you to use which will bypass the need to generate a PDF before printing the report.

If you have not yet scheduled your migration to Store 2.0, we encourage you to reach out to support@tellingstone.com to do so!  It is a simple process and will give your customers a fresh, modern storefront experience.

For a 3 minutes overview of what Store 2.0 is, please watch the below video:

Store 2.0 Storefront

  1. When a user is in tablet or mobile viewing mode, the "Search Products" area remains on the screen instead of disappearing.

Events

  1. Note:  For Store 2.0 events only.  Set up multiple event description templates and then choose one during the event setup process (Store 2.0 only).  This is potentially a HUGE timesaver!  What this means is you can select from any number of templates set up in your system as the starting point for an event.  For example, a "3 day event" or a "4 day event" or "event with standard booth package image".  You will need assistance setting up templates you want to be able to choose from, so reach out to support@tellingstone.com.  In your request, please provide a PDF markup of the variation(s) you want to make from your standard template.

  2. Exhibitor Move-In/Out dates have been enhanced on the event detail form.  Instead of two dates representing simply Exhibitor Move-In and Exhibitor Move-Out, you can indicate a Move-In Start and End date/time, as well as a Move-Out Start and End date/time.  These more specific fields can be pulled into an event description or an email template.  Reach out to support@tellingstone.com if you'd like to use them.  If you don't intend to use them, you can leave the times as they default.

  3. In the Event Calendar, the bar representing the event dates will look to the earliest and latest dates of the following event date fields to determine how to display the bar in the days of the calendar:

    Contractor Move In/Move Out Dates
    Exhibitor Move In/Move Out Dates
    Show Start/End Dates
    Event Start/End Dates

  4. With the new Exhibitor Move-in End and Move-Out End Date fields, the Event Import spreadsheet template has changed.  For an updated template, see Importing Events.  Also remember that since the move-in and move-out dates support times now, you'll need the spreadsheet to include times in those columns.  The help topic fully explains the proper format.

  5. Event Sub Type has been added as a filter at the top of the Events grid:

Orders

  1. The quality of the PDFs attached to work orders has been improved when rendered on a work order report.

Bills of Lading

  1. In Step 5 of the bill of lading form on the Admin side, a new check box allows the user to use the exhibiting company's address details.  There is also a link to click on that will tell you what that address is so you can determine whether that's the address you want to use:

In addition, the contact name and phone number is included (which was not the case in prior versions).

  2. Bug fixes made for the bill of lading on Store 2.

Reports
