5.0.14 Release Notes (4-20-2025)

Store 2.0 - the New Customer Experience

If you have not yet migrated from the "old gray mare" legacy storefront to our new storefront experience called Store 2.0, you don't know what your customers are missing!  While we are a few months away from the legacy store's deprecation, it will eventually happen so why not schedule your onboarding to Store 2.0 now?  It is included in your regular Boomer subscription - there are NO costs!  Watch the 3 minute video below for highlights.

There are plenty of new features in this release relevant to all customers, so continue on below to learn more about 5.0.14 regardless of whether you've made the Store 2.0 migration.

Store Settings

Two new check boxes have been added at the store level:

  1. "Store 2.0 Enabled for new Events.
Once you have fully transitioned to Store 2, check this box so all new events going forward will automatically be Store 2.0 enabled.  You won't have to remember to check the box!
  2. Bill of Lading Address is Required.
Determines whether the billing address details are required for BOLs entered in Admin.

Quick Pay

  1. The type of card used for the quick pay payment is now recorded and reflected on reports.

Events

  1. The Store 2.0 date fields for products like labor were not properly honoring the full range of dates the exhibitor could order items (i.e., the exhibitor move in start and exhibitor move out end).  This has been corrected.

  2. Any date drop down on the storefront was not displaying the full range of dates an exhibitor could order from; this has been corrected.

Bills of Lading

  1. Email addresses are not required on the Admin side when completing a bill of lading.
  2. A new store setting as noted above in the Store Settings section determines whether a billing address is required when completing a bill of lading on the admin side.  Note it still remains a requirement on the storefront.
  3. Two new label types are available within the Bill of Lading.  They include 4" x 6" labels, as well as Avery 5126 Labels.  These are also available to run for all bills of lading for an event from the main Reports menu:

  2. Event Type has been added as an available filter to the Event Production report.
  3. Optionally print the bill of lading terms and conditions when bulk printing BOLs:
  4. The Work Orders report run from the main Reports tab has a new parameter called "Include Floor Plan(s) which determines whether the work orders include booth diagrams generated by  BoomerPlan (BoomerPlan is an add on product that allows for interactive placement of relevant products on a booth grid).  See BoomerPlan Overview to learn more.
  5. The Taxes section of the Event Dashboard is now broken out by customer type:

Other

If you prefer to not have these appear, please reach out to support@tellingstone.com and we can remove it.
  2. A new email template for quotes/shopping carts allows you to send a cover email  as well as a PDF with details of the shopping cart.  See Quote.
  3. For customers using the FreedomPay gateway, company names will be truncated so FreedomPay will not reject a payment based on the length of fields for the company name, first name and last name.
