Customizing Content for Store 2.0

Customizing Content for Store 2.0

Store 2.0 includes several ways to customize your content without needing to know HTML. You can link key contacts, add website or PDF links, format text, and insert images directly into your content entries.

Link a Key Contact

You can display a key contact directly within a content entry.

  1. Open the content entry you want to update.
  2. Locate the Contact field below the text editor.
  3. Click the drop-down menu.
  4. Select one of the key contacts already created for the event.
  5. Confirm that the contact information populates.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Refresh the storefront in your browser to preview the update.

Once a key contact has been linked, an indicator will also appear on the content grid showing that the entry has a contact associated with it.

Add a Link to an External Website

Links can be added directly to the content text box. The simplest option is to paste the full website address.

  1. Open the website you want to link in another browser tab.
  2. Copy the URL from the browser's address bar.
  3. Return to your content entry.
  4. Paste the URL into the text box.

If the URL does not automatically become clickable, place your cursor at the end of the line and press Enter.

Create a Link Using Clickable Text

Instead of displaying the full URL, you can turn words such as Click Here into a link.

  1. Enter the text you want users to click.
  2. Highlight the clickable word or phrase.
  3. Right-click and select Insert Link.
  4. Paste the website URL into the link field.
  5. Change the Target to New Window.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Save.

Recommended: Set external links to open in a new window so users are not taken away from your storefront.

Link to a PDF or Other File

You can also create a clickable link that downloads or opens a file. This is an alternative to attaching the file directly to the content entry.

Upload the File

  1. Hover over your name in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Manage Files.
  3. Click Choose File.
  4. Select the file from your computer.
  5. Click Upload File.

Once uploaded, the file will appear in the file directory with its own URL.

  1. Locate the uploaded file.
  2. Highlight and copy the entire file path.

Add the File Link to Your Content

  1. Return to the admin side and open the content entry.
  2. Enter the text you want users to click, such as Download the Form.
  3. Highlight the clickable text.
  4. Right-click and select Insert Link.
  5. Paste the URL copied from Manage Files.
  6. Set the Target to New Window.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Save.

Format Your Content

The text editor toolbar can be used to customize the appearance of your content without HTML.

For example, you can:

  • Make text bold.
  • Change the font color.
  • Format links and other text within the content entry.

Insert an Image or Logo

Images and logos can also be displayed directly within a content entry.

Image files must be saved as PNG or JPEG files.

Upload the Image

  1. Go to Manage Files.
  2. Upload your PNG or JPEG image.
  3. Locate the uploaded image in the file directory.
  4. Highlight and copy the image URL.

Insert the Image into Your Content

  1. Return to the content entry.
  2. Place your cursor where you want the image to appear.
  3. Right-click and select Insert Image.
  4. Paste the image URL into the image path field.
  5. Leave the remaining fields blank.
  6. Click OK.

The image will automatically adjust to fit the page. You can then resize it within the editor if needed.

Preview Your Changes

After making changes to your content:

  1. Click Save.
  2. Open or return to the storefront.
  3. Refresh your browser to view the latest version.

Best Practices

  • Use linked text instead of displaying long URLs whenever possible.
  • Set external websites and file links to open in a New Window.
  • Upload reusable PDFs, forms, logos, and images through Manage Files.
  • Use PNG or JPEG files when inserting images into content.
  • Save your changes and refresh the storefront whenever you want to preview an update.
