Introduction

In addition to an automatic incremental numeric number assigned to an order, users can free form type a "job number" on an order.  It appears on the Customer Info page of an order:

A job number's purpose will most likely vary with each Boomer customer's requirement; it is designed to assist in whatever order work flow you might need it for.

Behavior

  • Alpha numeric value, up to 255 characters
  • Ability to view/edit is controllable via field security
  • The label of the field may be changed upon request.  If you would like it to have a different name other than Job Number, reach out to support@tellingstone.com for assistance.  
  • When populating the value, the user can choose to pre-populate it with the External Show Code 1 value from the event during the order creation process.
  • When an order is copied, the value in the order job number will NOT be copied.

References

When populated, the job number appears in the Order Summary area:job number in order summary2.png

Orders Grid

The job number may be displayed in the Orders grid.  To display the Job Number, use the dropdown in the Order # column to change the display:

Search

The Job Number is an available field for searching from the main Customers tab:

Placement on Reports

When an order has a Job Number, it will automatically appear on the following reports:

  • Work Order
  • Labor Order
  • Work Order – Show Organizer
  • Work Order – Show Organizer (v2)
  • Invoice
