Introduction
This guide explains how to add, update, or remove carpet and drape color selections in Boomer.
Before You Begin
First, determine whether the color update should apply across all events or only to a specific event.
- For all carpet or drape products across all events: Update the colors under the main Supplier record.
- For a specific event only: Update the colors within the Event-Level Supplier instead.
Updating Carpet or Drape Colors
Step 1: Open the Supplier
Navigate to the supplier that contains the carpet or drape products you want to update.
Then go to:
Products > Select Product > Attributes
Step 2: Open the Color Attribute
Under the Attributes section:
- Select the Color attribute.
- Click Add New to create a new color option.
Step 3: Configure the Color
When creating the new color:
- Check Is Own Product
- Enter the color name in the Code field
- Example: Blue, Grey, Black
- Upload a color swatch image using Choose New File
The uploaded image will display as the selectable color swatch for exhibitors.
Step 4: Save Your Changes
Click Update to save the new color option.
Repeat these steps for any additional colors you need to add.
Best Practices
- Use consistent naming conventions for colors.
- Upload clear swatch images for better exhibitor visibility.
- Review color selections periodically to remove discontinued options.
- Make updates at the correct supplier level to avoid duplicate maintenance.
Example
In the example below, the supplier is editing the Color attribute for a carpet product and adding a new selectable color option with its own image swatch.
