If you want to use images, movies, PDF or other files within a product's description or the event description so it appears on the Storefront, you need to upload those files so they are accessible from the Storefront. Since as an Admin user you are behind secured access in the Admin area, uploading a file within Admin will not work. The only exception to this is where there is an explicit "Browse" button (such as an event's logo or a product's image) since when a file is uploaded that way, it is stored in the database rather than simply referenced as a file. The explanation is technical in nature but the bottom line is if you want to insert anything other than text into a description for display on the Storefront, you need to follow these instructions. Your file should not exceed 10MB. Try to compress your files as much as possible.
- From within the Admin area, click "Go To Storefront" in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Click "Upload Images" in the upper right hand corner of the storefront (this is an option you have that your customers don't because you are an Admin user).
- Click the Browse button under File Management to search for the file you want to upload.
- Click "Upload File". There should be no spaces or special characters in your file name.
- The file will now appear in your list of images below. Highlight and copy the displayed path in the "URL to use in Custom URL" to insert the image/file into a description back in Admin.
