After creating the third party company record, add the third party contact under that company:
When creating a third party order on behalf of an exhibitor, start the order from the third party contact. You will then have the opportunity to change the exhibiting company in the process of creating the order.
To create an order for an EAC, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Open the Appropriate Event
- Click the "Events" main tab.
- Find the event in the grid. If you can't find it, use the yellow search bar.
- Click to open the event.
Step 2: Add the Order
Down the left hand side, you should see the contact's menu options including Detail, Payments on File, Shopping Cart and Orders. Click "Orders" to add an order:
- From the Exhibitor's grid, find the third party company and open it up in detail by double clicking on the row. Note: if the company doesn't exist, create a new one by clicking Add New Exhibitor at the top of the grid. Click Save to save the Exhibitor.
- Add the third party contact by clicking on Contacts down the left hand navigation menu and add the contact details. Click Save.
- Click "Add New Order" at the top of the Contact detail form.
- The third party company's name will default in to the new order. Click the ellipsis button (the button next to the company field with the three dots) to launch the Picklist.
- Enter part of the exhibiting company's name in the Name field at the top of the picklist and hit Apply Criteria. The exhibitor appears on the left hand side of the menu.
- Double click or hit the >> arrow to move the exhibitor to the right hand side of the picklist. It replaces the third party company's name. Hit Apply Selection. The following dialog appears:
- Click "Yes" to indicate this this is a third party order.
- A new check box indicates that the order contact's company is different than the exhibiting company:
If you want the exhibiting company to see this order if/when they log into the storefront, check this box. Otherwise the only contact that will see this order is the third party contact. - In the Order Contact field, leave the third party contact since he/she is the person completing the order.
- Click "Next" to continue placing the order. From this point on, create the order as usual, starting with Step 2 in the Creating an Order help topic.
