There may be an occasion where a pre-existing product will not be sufficient. For those times, a Boomer Admin user (but not the shopper) can add a custom item to a contact's shopping cart. A custom item may be added in the shopping cart prior to order generation or after the order has been created in the Order Summary area.
If in the Shopping Cart, click "Add Custom Item" during Step 2 of the process:
To add a custom item after the order has been created, click the "Add Custom Item" button in the Order Summary screen or in the Order Items area:
After clicking the Add Custom item button, a form appears:

| Transaction Type | Choose whether the item is a charge or a credit. |
| Code | Enter a code for the item, if applicable. |
| Quantity | Number of the custom item needed. |
| Price | Price of the custom item. |
| Required Delivery | If the custom item requires a delivery date and time, check the box and enter the date/time. |
| Required Pickup |
If the custom item requires a pickup date and time, check the box and enter a date/time. |
| Notes |
Optionally enter any additional notes for the item. |
| Description |
Click on the description tab to add lengthy, formatted content to your custom item. |
To add a custom item:
- Click "Add Custom Item" from the menu options at the top of the shopping cart or order summary area
- Fill in the custom item details following the field descriptions above.
- Click "Add Item" to add the item to the shopping cart.
