Order Notes and Attachments provide a way to store and communicate pertinent details about the order. Notes can be made visible to the customer in their order on the storefront by by default are not. Attachments will always be available to the customer.
Notes
Access notes for the order from the order's left vertical navigation menu:
Notes may also be accessed by clicking on the Paper icon in the Orders grid or on the Paper icon from within the Order Summary screen:
Add a Note
Notes may be added by the customer from the Storefront, or by an Admin user. To create a note for an Order in Admin:
- Open the order record.
- Click "Notes" in the left navigation menu for the order.
- Click "Add New" in the lower right hand corner of the Notes grid.
Note Fields

| Keyword | Optional way of categorizing the note. |
| Visible on Storefront | Determines whether your customer can see this note when he/she opens the order on the storefront and clicks on the Note area. |
| Include on Work Order | Determines whether the note is included in the "Notes" section of a printed Work Order. |
Delete a Note
To delete a note:
- Open the order record.
- Choose "Notes" in the left navigation menu for the order.
- Find the note to delete and click "Delete" in that note's row.
- A dialog confirming the delete appears. Click "Yes".
Attachments
Access order attachments from the left vertical navigation menu of the order:
Attachments may also be accessed by clicking on the Paperclip icon in the Orders grid or on the Paperclip icon from within the Order Summary screen:
Create an Attachment
To create an attachment for an Order:
- Open the order record.
- Choose "Attachments" in the left navigation menu for the order.
- Click "Add New" in the lower right hand corner of the Attachments grid. Your file should not exceed 10MB. Try to compress your files as much as possible.
- Click "Save".
Attachment Fields
| Field Name | Purpose |

| Subject | Brief description of the attachment. If the subject is left blank, when the attachment is uploaded, the subject will become the name of the attachment. |
| Display Order | Determines the order in which the attachment will print out on the work order if "Include on Work Order" is checked. |
| Include on Work Order | Determines whether the attachment is included on the Work Order. |
| Include on Labor Order | Determines whether the attachment is included on the Labor Order. |
| Visible on Storefront | Determines whether the customer is able to view and download the attachment from the storefront. |
Delete an Attachment
To create an attachment for an Order:
- Open the order record.
- Choose "Attachments" in the left navigation menu for the order.
- Find the note to delete and click "Delete" in that attachment's row.
- A dialog confirming the delete appears. Click "Yes".
