Settings

The Settings under Store Configuration primarily determine the level of security you maintain in allowing storefront customers to register and access events.  There are six settings at the store level and three settings controlling the default of event level settings:

Store Settings

Field Name Description
Show user registration message and link on storefront Controls whether the registration message appears below the login box on the storefront, allowing users to create accounts on their own.
Allow a customer to register a new company on the storefront Controls whether a user can add a new company (i.e., Exhibitor) to your system. This is usually set to "No" to control the quality of data in your system. If this is set to "no", the customer must call you so you can create the company. They can then search for that company, register, and start shopping.
Allow a customer to search for a company on the storefront Controls whether the customer is allowed to search through your list of all companies in the system in order to find their own company during the registration process. For tighter control, do not allow this.  For more flexibility and freedom, this should be set to yes, particularly if the setting above (Allow a customer to register a new company) is enabled.
Only show events customer is connected to on the store front Determines whether shoppers can search through all your published events in the system, or only choose from ones they are connected to in order to start shopping.
Show products that require a card on file during checkout
See explanation below.
Don't allow a customer to change the exhibiting company on existing orders or during order checkout Determines whether the the storefront allows a person checking out to change the exhibiting company in the first step of the check out process. If you want third parties or exhibitor appointed contractors to place orders, this needs to not be checked. However, if you want contacts to only place orders to be delivered to their exhibiting company, check this box.
Store 2.0 Enabled for new Events Determines whether the Store 2.0 check box in event settings is automatically enabled for new events.
Bill of Lading Address is Required Determines whether a billing address is required on the bill of lading in Boomer Admin.

Show Products That Require A Card On File During Checkout

The fifth setting determines whether products that require a card on file during the checkout process are listed individually or whether there is a general message communicating a card is required:

With products listed in detail:

Without products listed in detail:
