Adding A Favicon

A favicon is a small icon usually located in a browser's tab and URL bar.  It provides an added touch in branding your storefront.  For more information about what a favicon is, see this useful Wikipedia entry:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon

You may or may not already have a favicon.  If you need to generate one, try this handy free web site: http://www.favicon.cc/

If you don't upload a favicon of your own, the browser will use its own icon by default. 

To upload a favicon to Boomer (these instructions assume you already have your favicon file ready to go):

  1. Log into the Storefront with your Admin login.
  2. Hover over your name in the upper right hand corner and choose "Manage Files".
  3. Upload your favicon (make sure your file is named "favicon.ico" (without the quotes) and that it meets the file size as outlined in the favicon informational links above (16 px X 16 px).

Be Patient.  Browsers often cache certain elements of pages that have already been visited.  It may take a few days for your favicon to display in your browser.
